Team Blog
If you're still continuing the Yuletide exploits then you're simply a bunch of p*** heads.......and I'm jealous.
We've had a busy few months here, busier than anticipated, mainly down to the success of the Bender Fender. Oli at Bikeradar tested and published a review back in October, giving it a top notch 4.5 / 5.0. Well chuffed!!!! You can read the review here. So cheers to Oli and the chaps at Bikeradar.
We also sent one on to Matt at Muddymoles, who gave it a proper test in monsoon like conditions. This was published back in November. It came up trumps here as well.
Sales have been going well so we've recently introduced an opaque fender with the option of white or black velcro. You may also like to know that we're already in the process of developing next year's fender with slight mods, as recommended by you. This will be released in Autumn 2010
At the back end of the year Huw from The Bike Mechanic got in touch and after exchanging a few emails we are now proud sponsors of their successful mountain bike race team.
Check out their website, they also offer cracking repair and maintenance services at a cracking price.
We're nearing the end of the first year of our little venture and it's definitely been a success. Thanks mainly to you for showing an interest and supporting us. Cheers!!! We hope this continues for many years to come.
Whilst it's flown it also seems like an age. I guess it's because of all the people we've met and things we've been involved with. 2010 will bring more bits and bobs to the table as well as seeing us get involved with a number of events and exhibitions, including raising money and awareness for our chosen charity The Children's Hospital Charity. We'll provide more info when we have things firmed up.
So here's hoping you too have a great year, wherever and whoever you are!
We've decided to use this area to blog anything and everything, because we're rarely getting involved with competition stuff at the minute.
So what have we been up to? Good question.
There's obviously been the holidays in the baking hot UK sun, amongst other things, and then there's unfortunately been commitments (and still is) from the full-time jobs for us all. It's not on I know!
We have managed to put the hours in here as well and have just released the Bender Fender, which we're chuffed about. Here's some extra photos to show you how nifty this little thing is AND IT WORKS!!!!

We sent a few out to the obvious mags. singletrackworld, as supportive as ever, stuck one in their fresh goods for us, so cheers to Chipps and the gang.
And Jeff and the gang at BikeRadar are currently testing it. We wait with anticipation / trepidation, plop!
Charlie The Bikemonger has taken some off our hands as well along with other stuff. Check his website out, if you haven't already! He's got some dogs.... single speed stuff on there and he's a great help with all things wheels - petrol + beer.
We had been tinkering with the idea of developing some high-powered riding lights but have now decided to drop that one as Dealextreme do everything for next to nothing. This is what we've bought for £70: -
- Magicshine P7 HA-III 900 Lumen Riding Light (bar light) $79.81
- UltraFire A1 Cree Q5-WC 230-Lumen LED Flashlight (helmet light) $15.51
- 2 x Spare CR123A Rechargeable Batteries $4.50
- CR123A Charger $5.39
- Universal UK Adaptor Plug $1.92
- 2 x Helmet Mounts $4.42
They've just arrived and we're impressed by their initial performance and so are most others, going by the forums.
Finally, a decent set of lights at a decent price!!
There are a number of things in the pipeline, as listed on our home page, namely the third and final weight weenie rotor and the 1x9 chain device. Also, due to the interest in the Bar Tabs we're looking at the 'end cap' version and refining the current 'end plug' slightly (we're never satisfied)
To throw in to the mix, we're having some stickers, "I've Got Mucky Nutz", and T-Shirts done. So watch out for those!
This will be more than enough to keep us going through to the end of the year. Merry Christmas! Sorry, couldn't resist.
A couple of the lads went to the Singletrack Weekender at the beginning of July; Mike and Simon. I was too busy baby-sitting while the better half was sunning it on some beach in Spain. What's that all about?!?!??!?!
Mike Webb is our DH champion, and also competed in the Nationals in May, winning his event. Well done ah kid!! But he forgot to mention anything about Mucky Nutz......tut tut!!!!
Here he is on the DH section at the Singletrack Weekender, doing pretty well. Obviously our rotors are the main reason why he came 4th. Wink, Wink!!!

And here's Simon on the same section, doing a good impression of a dazzled rabbit. I wish I had a photo of Simon further on. He got a flat so spent more time on foot than on wheels. Better luck next time Simon!!

Well done to you both!!!! We'll make sure we're all there next year!!
